COPPER FACE BY DIMITRI GENOCCHIO

Image of a face taken from a statue cropped on a rectangular canvas. The canvas was painted in several layers of primer and cracked by hand, then the image was painted over the textured surface in coppers and burnt umbers and black acrylic glazes. These paintings have proved quite popular with designers and clients alike as they work well as a focal point in a wide variety of interiors from minimalist to those rich in detail.
