Adaptation of Simon Vouet's " Allegory of wealth".

In consultation with Dimitri's client it was agreed to use the central figure from Simon Vouet's painting 'Allegory of Wealth', changing the dark, oppressive background to a more natural, country setting. The colors used were deliberately painted in shades of blue rather than the ochre's used in the original in order to match the color scheme of the room the painting was commissioned for. This commission was done in oils on wooden panels measuring 2 x 3 m and took 3 weeks to complete.
